As this blog comes to an end, what are we left with? Basically just my opinion on some people who went from sleuthing to slandering. At times that opinion has changed. And even though I got lots of info from articles and people’s emails and comments, it still just boils down to “My Opinion”. Half the stuff people told me, others said just the opposite, so I had to decide what to believe and what not to belive. Some may value my opinion on some of this, some may not, but for what ever reason you came here to read my opinion and I gave it.
Like I said, it changed a little at times, but when I go back and reread what I have written I think most of it holds true to the same basic belief. What is that belief? That several people were involved in some sort of game with the LISK case. That some of them did it to gain some kind of attention in the limelight. Others played back, some with good intentions, some probably not so good. At the core of some of these people is a feeling that they were wronged in life, Joey, by his neighbors who tried to out him and his family from the Oak Beach community, Nancy and Dorothy, by their ex husbands and the legal system, you get the idea. So they used this tragedy to get even and to get noticed.
Again, this is just my opinion after looking into all of you over the past year, just like some of you have looked into me and formed opinions as well. Which is fine, and if anyone cares to hear about your opinions on me, by all means tell them. Hell, write a blog about it. But remember, I wrote this blog because I felt it was wrong for people to use this tragedy for their own agendas and games, and I think most who read here would agree with that.
I have said over and over that it was not my intention to sleuth the case, but my opinions on the case can still be seen throughout this blog. Again though, just opinions. I’m not LE. I do not have the info that they have. I don’t even have the info most of you have.
Still I did not just jump in line with anything anyone was throwing out there or trying to lead me to along the way. I just kept reading and well, writing. This made some of you not like me to much at certain times (like if I didn’t agree with the proper agenda) and other times I was a hero! Truth is I was just giving my opinion on what I witnessed. On what I read. On what I saw. On what I thought.
I wish I could just post every email correspondence I have with everyone, it would then be a lot easier to not only understand my opinion, but maybe see how I came to some of it. But that just isn’t possible. I understand why some would not want me to post their emails or bring their names into this. Some are just LISK.com readers… others, well you know who you are and what we have talked about and most of you have told me a lot of my opinions are spot on. Would I love to post those emails? Of course I would, and since some of you love saying I put all my emails up on the blog, I sometimes think I should.
Don’t get nervous, I’m not doing it. But again, those I have talked to know what we have talked about.
There is still plenty of other things I can post here, to show why I have the opinions I do about all of this. Some of this stuff you may have already seen or read, most of it was given to me by one of you, the readers and the subjects of this blog. Pretty much the same demographics, right?
Let’s start with the newest link I was given. It’s the YouTube interviews with Richard Dormer. There are quite a few of them but I think they are worth watching. For those who strongly criticized LE as either dropping the ball on this case or covering things up, this may help show, as I believe, that LE is and has always taken this case very seriously and there for have looked into every lead and everyone possibly connected to this case. There is actually a lot more, but I think we’ll stop there. The last three links are suicides that I know some find questionable or possibly linked to the Gilgo Beach Murders. Again I have no information on things like this and can only read them and wonder myself.
Same goes for possible connection to other places like Atlantic City, Florida or New Mexico. Florida pops up again and again in things I have read. Some I have mentioned in this blog. Victims in the LISK case, bloggers, writers, POIs, etc. There are quite a few linked to all of this who live or have lived in Florida, but I have found nothing that actually connects Florida in any way but coincidence. But who knows? Until truth is known and the case is solved all possibilities are just that, possibilities. Another possibilty is a conection to the Atlantic City Murders. I didn’t know anything about the Atlantic City Murders tell I read about the Facebook pages that were made and seemed to connect them to the Gilgo Beach victims. Since then I have read quite a bit about the murders in Atlantic City, and until both cases are solved I guess it will continue to be, as many believe, possibly connected.

There is so much out there so of course people will have opinions about what is connected and what isn’t. I get that. We all get that, right? But what got me blogging my opinions, was that some people out there claimed to be working on more than opinion. Those of you who claim to know things, who write as if they are the victims and the heroes all in one, here is my final opinion for you. Your so-called knowledge should be questioned by everyone. The real connections are between those who passed around misinformation and played games with other people’s tragedies. And I think you know who those people are, in my opinion.

But my blog proved that someone really far and removed from this case came across it all and came to the same conclusions as those in the know. I don’t believe the murders in Nex Mexico are related. The murderer was killed I believe while in the process of moving one of the bodies. His apartment was not very far from the burial ground either.
What about those murdered/dismembered call girls in Las Vegas, NV? 3 found and one still missing I believe. I haven’t researched it much, but noticed the dates being mostly between 2003-2006 that this all happened. I remember thinking that was the period in my timeline for LISK that he seemed somewhat dormant. Won’t go into detail as it could just be a coincidence.
However the Vegas Girls, like the Atlantic City 4, were working girls in cities with gambling/casinos. I probably need to compare notes on them although the MO of the killer seems completely different.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. Although they say they think the killer could be a truck driver in the Vegas 4 case because the victims were found along roadways and 2 had remains found different states. In fact more emains were scattered so far that I believe only 2 girls had their torsos found and one girl had her legs found. They were ID’d through DNA.
So it seems either its a trucker or a seasonal drifter/traveler IMO.

I think she did mention it once. I remember her saying something about missing prostitutes in Vegas, but with lots of her stuff, you don’t know what age is talking about till someone else brings it up. She talked about the Figats and none of us knew who she meant, and now we know all to well. So I’m pretty sure Dorothy knew about these articles, maybe they were waiting to see who brought them up first… we all play that waiting game here… both Jen and Christin have told me in the past, don’t blog this, wait and see who brings it up. And you know we do this with stuff too. Where are other victims that fit the Profile/deaths of LISKs victims? If there is a deep sex trafficking connection and they know who is involved, then they need to investigate the possible connections between girls missing from the areas they claim these acquaintances have involvement in sex trafficking rings. Suss it out!
I am convinced that there is information in what Dot and others have put forward that is helpful in other cases, but unfortunately much of it is sprinkled with bias statements and personal grievance which leaves much room for doubt in the minds of many.

It’s strange just how many serial killers that have not been caught are truck drivers (or are theorized to be). Because typically the drivers commit roadside body drops and because the drivers are constantly in control/possession of their crime scene (the truck bed) it is nearly impossible to catch them.
I’m not sure the missing Jessie Foster is related to the other 3 girls deaths or at least the circumstances seem very different although the profiles are similar.
What’s creeps me out is all 3 victims believed to be connected that were murdered all have the middle name “Marie”.

TY Annie, I needed to hear that, lol!! Ive been a True Crime ‘buff’ for as long as i can remember, and I must say I agree with much you have to say.
Regarding truck drivers: The profession itself makes it very easy to commit these crimes…They do have access to prostitutes,people down on their luck who need a lift. Because these victims frequently disappear for days at at time, I feel LE unfortunately are slower to act. Truckers also frequently cross state lines, so without excellent communication between Police depts, it adds to the difficulty and speed it takes to actually connect cases…Although, this HAS changed over the years, with the emergence of a national data base, and DNA technology, providing the offender has been arrested before….horrific stuff!!

Linda Hit the nail on the head – so many more of these truck drivers have been detected now with DNA testing now available and national databases of known criminals. I’m so thankful for DNA/CODIS. I’m even more thankful for those quickly accessable Internet databases in general. It allows Internet sleuths to have a more tangible hand in connecting the dots in a case, given the sleuths are not vigilantes.
It’s crazy for me to imagine having to show up to the actual courthouse in person every time I would need a criminal/civil report instead of just obtaining it online or submitting to the arduous process of going through hard copy files in a warehouse to find information (though you and I know with cold cases this has to usually be done… If the files haven’t been destroyed ugh).
You would think there would be DNA on ONE of these victims. To the point, I can’t imagine a person with no DNA in CODIS would be capable of dismembering women. I know CODIS and many DNA labs are backed up, but c’mon the murderer/s in the Vegas case and LISK are VIOLENT abusive tormentors and I cannot imagine these traits were only present when the killers were murdering their victims. There has to be a record of abuses that they have been prosecuted for.

Agreed Annie!! Although it seems the killer (if you buy the one killer theory), changed his MO pretty close to the time DNA was really catching on!! Im with ya though, hard to believe there’s no DNA or substantial evidence, lets cross our fingers!! If it is ONE killer, these types usually have an arrest for something, as theres a ‘build up’ to the act of murder: Peeping Tom, Fires ect,(but not always), and again these crimes may have gone unreported back then or occurred before CODIS…
An interesting theory presented on the second 48hr show regarding MO/Dismembering: The prostitution game has changed quite a bit with the emergence of the internet.Used to be Johns picking up girls in their car (possibly being noticed, witnesses).. Point being, dismembering a corpse would make identification of the body a slow, arduous process (as in the Tina Folgia case), giving the perp plenty of time to get away with the crimes…Now, with girls doing much business on their own (no pimp, maybe no driver), the chances are reduced that anyone will even know where the girls last appt was, hope im being clear..Whoever this guy is, he seems to get a lot of backround info on them, talking to them for a while before they meet, grooming them if you will..Even convinces them to leave their phones, gaining their trust..Secrecy…..Well, either way, he certainly got comfortable with his dumping ground in the last ten yrs..
I hate to sound like a broken record, but I highly doubt Bitrollf killed three girls in an identical pattern, exhibiting great compulsion, and then STOPS…No way am i buying that either….In fact, my gut tells me he “perfected’ his style, i believe he committed prior murders, and has never stopped.There is reportedly the same article of clothing missing from the two/probably three victims, Id be interested to know that info, as the AC girls were missing their shoes…JMO, as always

One more thing to add about the LISK case:
Johnny Terry was called at least 30 times and harassed after Melissa Barthelemy disappeared. Johnny, as I’m sure everyone remembers, was Melissa’s “bf”/pimp who would drive her to Long Island many times to meet at a John’s house with another call girl who he did not identify. All that is reported is that he thought the other girl was from the Long Island area (my mind immediately screamed Amber Costello, but I digress that’s leading into unknown territory).
Johnny Terry said he would lead police to the John’s house in Long Island, but they never followed up with him on it. Not even after the 30 calls (over 30 really).
I sincerely believe Melissaonly showed up to Long Island alone that night because she had met with the John numerous times and trusted him to an extent. She probably was promised more money for this job and a driver that wouldn’t take any of her earnings instead of a pimp to drop her if that would take her earnings – figured that the offer was too good to pass up.
How interesting that Shannan decides to go outside of the escort agency and picks Pak as her driver to skirt the fee before she dies. how interesting that Melissa skirts her usual dealings with her pimp and gets someone else to pick up/drive her to Long Island (this driver, whoever picked her up and left her at the John’s, never came forward now did they?), how odd that Megan decides to possibly meet someone outside of the hotel where she would ask men to meet her unbeknownst to her pimp/bf possibly for a side job and ends up missing?
Who’s the guy that works with driving the girls to/from John’s residences and does it secretly bc the girls don’t want to get in trouble with their pimps/agency?
That connection keeps pulling at me.

Yes the idea Megan left the hotel to meet a driver to take her to a John’s house is something I am guessing. However, as you said it is a fact that She did leave the hotel on camera. If I remember correctly she walked down that road toward the convenience store before she disappeared.

At any rate and again in theory, if Megan was working with a driver or someone else to skirt her pimp and make an extra buck it’s possible she had a secondary phone she used to communicate with her accomplice/driver – and she wouldn’t let her pimp know about this secondary phone. I now have my suspicions MEGAN was instructed to be picked up down the street from the holiday Inn because her murderer was aware of the Surveillence cameras at the hotel. Hmmm who would be aware of where cameras would be to survey a hotel knowm for prostitution/gang/drug busts?
It wasn’t a driver that picked up MEGAN that night. I’ve now decided this. I will not deviate from believing it is a cop involved in some sort of gang/drug/prostitution task force that killed the 4 in burlap. This cop may have even known through his LE connections of the gang connected to the dismembered remains and framed them for his 4 victims in burlap and left his victims near the gang’s dumping ground so that his victims would be attributed to the gang.
RIP MEGAN, AMBER, MELLISA, and MAUREEN. May the officer who murdered you all and was so deceptive in his cover up be brought to justice.

About the Lost Girls the more their stories stay alive. I definitely have an interest in true crime and the LISK case has been of paramount interest to me. I think the families and their fight for justice is so inspiring in this case. It makes me hope more than anything their prayers are answered. When I found Zero’s blog I found a whe other side to this case that answered a lot of questions I had about some misinformation flying around websites that claimed the misinformation was on record (not true).
If there is a theory or an article (or question!) in these comments that might help switch a light on in someone’s brain so they can recall something important to the case … All the better.

Yup and I wonder if the agencies and pimps in most cases take a much higher percentage of the girls gains than a driver would. Hypothetically a John could tell the driver he will pay him a large sum of money to procure the girl. The driver has no incentive to actually pay the girl so he could say anything to butter up the deal like “oh well I know you are a single mom. This is an easy client and you know what I won’t even take a huge amount as your driver this time. Just give me 10% of whatever you make and we are even. I’ll make sure you are safe. It’s an all win situation for you.”

I’ve came to my final conclusion that I don’t believe the theory it’s one killer. I will no longer try to make timelines that fit the police and profilers theories. I fully believe there are two different killers at work. They have very different rituals when killing. The dismembered remains were probably the work of Bitrolff (or someone similar to Bitrolff in occupation and profile) and the torsos left in Manorville were left by him because he the killer lives there and wanted those parts to be discovered. He is saying “I’m a predator and here’s where I am”. Bitrolff likely posed his victims and possibly took a body parts as his signature for whoever found the bodies. This has a similar taunting quality to the killings as the Manorville based remains. Note that he didn’t throw their heads, hands, and identifiable features anywhere that he felt they could be foud easily so in essence the body parts that could identify the torsos in Manorville had been discarded a long distance away because although he wants people to know he is active in Manorville and that’s his “grounds” where he lives/works, he doesn’t want the victims IDs to give away his identity. additionally the victims dismembered still have not been ID’d despite DNA analysis and public exposure signaling they may have been more at risk than the 4 escorts found in burlap. They may have been homeless prostitutes who had little to no family contact.
Then in contrast I look at OTHER killer of the 4 girls in burlap and Shannan and know that the same person called the victims families (Barthelemy and Gilbert) connecting the murders in some way. The killer said he was in the NYPD to L. Barthelemy and I believe it. I believe he is so full of himself and his status as a cop that he feels untouchable. I believe whoever this cop is he is using his savvy to frame Hackett and somehow “fluked” the call from Barbara’s cell to Shannan’s mother. I even wonder if when all those cops were called (by Colletti and Gilbert) that they did show up and one in particular found Shannan a perfect victim of opportunity on that parkway. I’m willing to bet he was in some task force that staked out that Holiday Inn before Megan went missing from it – the same hotel the killer most likely requested Amber to meet him but she declined bc she knew it was a place that gets stinger often and if it’s busy being stinged, it’s too seedy to take a chance on a random John. We know that he stalks his victims and their families. There’s no proof that this happened with Jessica Taylor or the other dismembered victims who don’t follow his MO (with the exception of John Doe! This could have been his first victim as he left him intact with identifyable features/clothing!). In my theory he knew of the John’s at Oak Beach and that he could frame them by leaving the bodies near the community. He is MUCH more organized than the Manorville based killer, but he takes less effort in ensuring his victims aren’t ID’d than the Manorville based killer which shows how much he truly believes he cannot be connected to these girls in any nefarious way bc he’s “above” them and a cop in his mind. It doesn’t matter to him if they are ID’d… He had it covered and nothing would lead back to him. Shannan didn’t follow his MO of stalking bc of course she was a victim of opportunity for him. Additionally leaving her closer to the neighborhood would further implicate Oak Beach residents and steer suspicion from him.
This all has gone on far too long for it to not be someone from the inside (with the 4 in burlap and Shannan). At this point I feel very bad for everyone he has managed to frame.
And I’m done. That’s it. I can’t spend any more energy on this and just have to pray someday the truth comes out and that cop is unmasked.

I think what many find interesting is that Bitrolff moved to his Manorville home in 2003 and after that no more bodies were found in Manorville. It may be a case of not crapping where you eat – sorry for the crude analogy. But it is likely it’s not Bitrolff and possibly someone who fits a similar profile – works in construction or landscaping, white, middle aged, low-middle income etc. but that’s only one half of the puzzle. The other more pressing question is who’s the dirty cop that unknowingly (or knowingly?) shared part of his dumping ground with this Manorville mystery mooch?

Linda – I know Lisa’s aunt has talked to the NYPD numerous times. They need DNA from a close relative of Lisa to compare to Jane Doe – there is no DNA available for Lisa at this point. It may be available someday soon though depending on whether or not Lisa’s daughter chooses to submit her DNA whenever she turns 18. Should be soon (if she’s willing to submit).
They are actively investigating it and I’m sure they assume it is Lisa. Her aunt seems positive it’s Lisa and so does NYPD… Just need the DNA to confirm.
I know Moe has been called in as a match a multitude of times. Again, I believe they are working on obtaining DNA to confirm whether or not John Doe is Zhang.
And as far as little Hema, mommy, and brother go… Not sure but I’m guessing Hema’s grandparents may be over in India and perhaps that has caused issue trying to obtain DNA from Hema’s maternal grandmother. Not sure if the children’s father is around, but I’m assuming not?
I think they are stuck trying to find DNA sources to process and match to these 4 victims. That’s completely out if their hands unfortunately 😦

Did you happen to check the link above your comment with the matches for the UID’s in the LISK case? Article “The Girl with the Hoop Earring”. I think it would floor you if it hasn’t already.
Wondering what your opinion is of the possible matches and if they indicate anything further about their killer?
I noticed that the individual matching John Doe was from VA area (like Jessica Taylor was). With the other three UIDs, Jane Doe #6 matched to a missing woman from Alabama and Mommy/Toddler UIDs matched to a mother and daughter from California (runaway non custodial mother with children).
The various geographic locations of the matches to the UIDs do not follow the MO of the 4 in Burlap who were from NY. Again something else signaling the possibility that the UIDs are NOT victims of the same murderer who took the lives of Melissa, Maureen, Megan, and Amber in NY.
I wish there was some way to know if the author even submitted the matches to authorities. Even if they have been submitted, they may be bigger down by emails with bogus tips and absolute cheap about the case. And even IF the SCPD know who the UIDs are now I don’t think they wlukd tell the public due to the *hush hush* nature of this case.

Oh and the question as to why I think the cop would want to frame Hackett: IF the cop is responsible for Shannan’s death AND IF he knowingky set her body near the Oak Beach community, he could then have tried to further implicate Hackett who’s “backyard” was where “Shannan ran through to get to the parkway” (yeah right she ran all the way through that crap…).
There was the Oak Beach Community Board where someone further began to implicate a connection between violence against escorts and Oak Beach residents (which was done AFTER SG, MB, MW, and MBB disappeared I believe and right before Amber disappeared). This signals to me that the murderer aka cop KNEW that the area was most likely going to be searched and his victims discovered bc of Shannan’s disappearance (whether she was his victim or not).
After Shannan disappeared this cop KNEW his victims would most likely be discovere during the search and recovery process and he went into overdrive to implicate anyone related to SG’s case and Oak Beach in the murders of his very own victims!

It was a drug house and tricks were done out of it. Police showing up or people being chased out with bats is not so hard to believe. The almost scripted stuff on the exotic site, yes it could be a set up. Just like the Hackett calls, or flukes talk of items and where they would be found (which I agree could have been speculation on flukes part, but that’s if you believe those items were there the whole time. I don’t. Though someone could have read flukes comments and then put them there or yes maybe fluke put them there, but my biggest question does LE truly believe those items were there all that time) add a few other coincidences and odd screen names and comments from Websleuths to the blogs and yes some things may add up more than coincidence or just nutty people loose on the web. I’m not ready to jump to police cover up, or anything that big. But I don’t rule it out. Nor as I’ve said before that this deals with human trafficking on a level people don’t want to know exist out there. But I’m just not ready to believe that this isn’t a serial killer, and then cover up seems unlikely, but again not impossible. There are many unanswered questions and so many people adding to it over the years, until we know, we won’t understand how it all fits. Again hopefully soon me of these new developments, such as Bittrolff and all this stuff out there on the DOEs maybe things will start to get answered.

I apologize but my very last point is this:
If the killer is a cop and worked in some sort of task force, he might have been somewhat aware of the victims from 1996-2003 that had been scattered across Long Island having been involved in prostitution. Perhaps he even knew of their cases and who LE thought they could be. Now, he would know that the bodies would be tied back to the gang associated with them and therefore figured he would leave his victims along their same dumping ground to implicate that gang. He then also begins posting online posing as residents near the dumping ground to implicate thdm as well. In this, he has not only framed an entire gang he has also framed an entire beach community!
Pretty smart, but LE are onto him.

IMO Yes. A serial killer (4 in burlap) and then a killer involved with organized crime/sex trafficking (Jessica Taylor, Jane Doe 6, fire island Jane Doe 3,).
The John Doe may also be a LISK victim, possibly his first. I say this bc his body was found in very close proximity to the 4 in burlap at Gilgo Beach and bc there was no attempt to conceal his ID like the killer of the dismembered victims did.
Also, mommy and toddler doe may be LISK victims bc the toddler was left intact with identifying objects (necklace around neck and earrings)… We know that 1 of the girls in burlap ALSO had something around her neck. I’m guessing it was her necklace.
So victims before John Doe were probably the work of a gang.
John Doe and any victims following most likely were LISK victims.

Of course, there is also the very creepy possibility that the break in relationship between FBI and SCPD anti gang task force happened because the killer was in the FBI. If this is true, then man what a crazy conundrum. We know the killer said he was I the NYPD to Amanda, but cold this be yet another frame? I have heard a rumor once it could be someone involved in the FBI.

The SCPD gang task force was joined with FBI in 2009. The SCPD task force would then have open federal access to information and investigation protocol. It is during this time LISK calls Melissa’s sister. I can only assume this task force member was able to do so because he (or they) had access to her phone records and passwords via FBI authority/programs alotted to them.
From 2009 to Fall of 2012, these gang task force officers had open access to anything concerning gang activity and also had access to FBI devices used in Investigations. Is it not interesting that after the murders the SCPD elite had 3 of its best investigators taken off the force and refused to work with the FBI ? It was as if they didn’t want any active (cough LISK cough) cases solved.
How curious too that the FBI returned to the SCPD gang Task Force in 2013 around the time Shannan’s mother begins to receive fluked calls from Barbara Hackett’s phone? Me thinks the FBI privileges were granted to LISK (in the SCPD task force) yet again after the merge.
So what does this all mean? I gather that the elite at the SCPD and DA are covering for the task force officers that didn’t get fired.
I wonder if Leto could be one? He seems to love saying he will rape people’s mothers and strangle them until they pass out while they are chained to the floor (per the testimony of the poor kid he and chief Burke traumatized).
I suspect a lot of people are being intimidated/blackmailed by SCPD into doing things and not doing things.

Oh and possibly some people from Oak Beach were implicated on the utopia site even before SG’s death. I think the killer (a cop) somehow had knowledge of police protocol when it comes to Surveillence online of activity involving escorting/prostitution.
I seriously think this cop/murderer may have been covering his tracks by implicating Oak Beach residents early on.
What better way to frame a community close to the crime scene and draw suspicion away from yourself?
Again, poor Hackett. The idiots let the killer fool them and continue to do so. I hope Hackett is away from all of this in sunny respite, relaxing on a beach chair and soaking it all up in FL.

Sorry this is not a cover up – the police really DONT know who In the NYPD (A HUGE dept btw) is responsible for the murders.
They have had to keep mum in the SFPD and keep information close to the vest because they don’t want the murderer, who might have access to police records and is a cop, to have knowledge of the investigation. How frustrating it must be for them to be accused of not caring about the investigation. The fact they have kept so much important info within their dept and confidential instead of leaking it all to the press demonstrates how seriously they are taking the case.
So next time you show up to SFPD headquarters and they lower the blinds in your face think twice before thinking it’s bc they “don’t care” or are part of some multi department cover up reaching as far as the FBI.

I want this to be known publicly… and outside my circle of people and the SCPD.
I am a local semi-professional musician from Long Island and I consider this place as disgusting, corrupt and in the shadow of a great place to live… my home.
The Ocean parkway has served and still does as my reference point for my mixed pieces of music. My music is moody, dark and atmospheric and in a VERY congested place that parkway and area of the Island at night ALWAYS has served as desolate place to reflect especially listening back to mixes and seeing if its hits the right way without being effect by strip malls, traffic lights and zombies on all major parkways.
If there are any other mixing engineers or musicians who create on a professional level, you will 100% understand what I mean when I talk about referencing mixes and making sure you got it right.
In June of 2010 (look at that date) and was doing my usual ride… it was usually between midnight and 3am. I live in East Meadow so I take the Wantagh out and hit the loop – ocean route. I can get out there quick at that hour but usually go about 50mph to let the music sink in and relax.
At this time in my life I was single (23 years old) and was working heavily on my first major record. The mix references drives on this record cycle went on for the better half of 2010 but this was the only time I saw anything out there that was really suspicious at night.
I will describe it in great detail again, luckily I was blessed with photographic memory so I can recall instantly and in depth. So much so that I wrote it in poetic terms in depth description // this is what I gave the SCPD in 2012 as well // Specifically JAMES BURKE // Here you go:
“2AM and pitch dark, a 70s Club Wagon with safety-flares on desolate roadway. Heavily clothed for summer time, a scarf covering your face, I slow down to see if you need help. No one was around only the sounds of the waves crashing in the distance, your van hazards flashing away and a sound monitoring system on the ground nearby. As I fully stop you vanish out of site as if to hide from my oncoming vehicle. Stopped for only a few seconds, I sense an eerie vibe and continue my way onto the Robert Moses causeway. Years later and I still feel as if I almost caught you dumping their bodies along this parkway. My mix reference drives have never been the same, maybe one day I will catch you again by the Oak Beach Inn.”
You need to understand that I thought NOTHING of this in JUNE 2010… Besides the news blurt of Shannon disappearing I just knew this area to be where rich LI’ers and boat community retirees had summer houses. When the initial discovery was made and bodies were made I wasn’t quite sure what to make of it and still thought nothing of it as if it were nothing. Where it all hit me that I had to do something was the flashback… In 2012 I had a child and when browsing for a baby monitor in the store I SAW THE MONITOR THAT WAS ON THE FLOOR IN FRONT OF THE VECHILE THAT NIGHT. A more industrial styled one but think of why it would be on the floor by their car on the side of the road… They were in the marsh with the receiver where they could anything coming from a far with monitor system by the roadway to alert them. It was almost a pro-styled one and maybe even one police or military could only acquire but it struck and extreme resemblance to the high-end industrial style looking one when we were shopping.
At this point I realized I needed to come forward and at least share my little piece of something I saw before any discoveries were made. So I called a defunct hotline number for the case because at that point it was kind of forgotten about and a week later I got a call. It was JAMES BURKE, I had again NO CLUE who this man was. He stated who he was and that he DID NOT WANT ME TO COME DOWN TO THE STATION BUT WANTED ME TO MEET HIM ON SITE OF THE GENERAL LOCATION OF WHERE I SAW THE CAR THOSE SOME TWO YEARS PRIOR. I thought this was kind of odd to get my initial statement… no? Or at least come to my house and then we drive or more investigators. Burke came ALONE, yes alone… which from my experience was also rare in police investigations or questions that I have personally encountered.
I do need to stress that I look counter culture… somewhere between a metal head crossed with a hippie… I am naturally eccentric and you will see why I am mentioning this.
So I give him in depth info, the description even show him the poem I printed out and we go in depth… and I am as honest as I can be. He asked me what I was doing out that hour and why, people in music and professionally will understand what I me by mix referencing and this to him was a ‘what the fuck’. Anyway, he seems to just be jotting things down on paper no tape recording device or anything.
The point where it seemed very odd in my discussion him was right here though… I mentioned I am a marijuana smoker and although I wasn’t doing it in the car it wasn’t uncommon for me to be working in the studio for a couple of hours prior when I hit something and decide to go reference. I would usually be smoking those hours prior… I am not a drug user, marijuana is a sacred plant. Aside from that and a bunch of psychedelic exploring in my late teens early 20s it all ends there. He went off with that!
“Are you see you weren’t seeing things? How do you know what you really saw? You were under the influence of marijuana?” As if it was some Devil’s Harvest 50’s anti- weed propaganda film talking. It was bizarre but after seeing the recent events of him and reading all his corruption seemed as his out to discredit anything from me.
I kind of laughed in his face and he asked me a few more questions but like stand offish and completely changed his act… yes he was acting from the start.
Did the usual line “Well be in touch if we here anything or leads, thanks for meeting with me Mr. _____”
I WAS NEVER HEARD FROM AGAIN AND I ASSURE HE NEVER SUBMITTED ANYTHING I SAID INTO EVIDENCE OR CASE FILES AND THAT MY MEETING WAS PROBABLY NEVER RECORDED.
Honestly feel like this whole thing is something out of the show ‘True Detective’ actually even more bizarre the more I read in depth outside of news sources.
VICE just did the most comprehensive and collective piece that fucks with your head to and made me go ‘man wtf are you doing? think of what you might be able to help solve?”
I know realize after a lot of studying that I should probably go to the FBI at this point for my protection with the people involved and maybe contact John Ray.

Yea, they commented it all on shannans Facebook. They used their real name there. I knew who they were right away. I looked up stuff about their band and read their very interesting blog. I’m sure I will be blogging about TAL again in the near future. He’s a strange one, nothing wrong with that. But he came to me in emails like I was the cats meow and his new best friend. He told his story and was gone. So many like to do that, well I’m tired of the hit and runs. That’s to fluke like for me. And there are quite a few of them.

I don’t know why you wouldn’t think your comment would be let through, I don’t find it nasty or blunt. I think most would agree someone out there knows who LISK is. And caught or killed yes, it’s beyond the time for this to be solved. Hopefully with all the new interest in the case it will finally get the answers needed. I don’t know for sure what they look for, but I would guess that they do look at those things. They probably look at lots of things, even stuff the killer wouldn’t realize. It’s how they get caught. They think they’ve out witted authorities, get lazy or are just not as smart as they think they are. Cops might know who he is at this very moment and are just waiting to tie it all together. Or waiting for his next mistake.
